My favourite photos – available light

The light available to a photographer is often not ideal.  But such problems are opportunities.  Poor light can be marvellous and extraordinary.

Side light….. sometimes unflattering, always dramatic.

Hong Kong Family Portrait = Olympus OM-1. Zuiko 35mm f2.

Or, barely any light at all. And a little bit of underexposure :

Fluorescent lighting is not pretty. (No “automatic white balance” with a film camera! ) :

New York subway - Olympus OM-1. 35mm f2.
