Jimmie Dale Gilmore came down to New Zealand from his home in Austin, Texas.
He played at the The Tuning Fork on 20 April, accompanied by his son Colin Gilmore.
West Texas country-folk & country-rock. With a dose of Jimmie’s metaphysical thoughts mixed in.
Also known as one member of the legendary trio, The Flatlanders. The iconic voice still not greatly showing his 70 years of age.
NZ’s Delaney Davidson opened the billing with a short energetic, one-man eclectic set.
Some pics from that intimate and magical night:
Colin’s wife Tammy, also made a brief conribution.
